The Birth Center of New Jersey

The Birth Center of New Jersey in West Union, New Jersey, provides midwifery care and women’s health services through our partnership with Artemis OB/GYN as The Wellness Collective. Our team — including Nicola Pemberton, MD, FACOG, Dahlyt Case-Berezinbahr, CPM, LM, and Kasey DiVine, MSN, CNM — cares for women from puberty through menopause.

We believe that birth is a healthy, safe, and natural experience. Our practice is centered on empowering you to take charge of your own care. Through education, informed choices, and gentle guidance, we empower you to make self-determining decisions about your reproductive and birthing experiences.

Our prenatal care combines individual check-ups with group support and education, creating a community while preparing you for childbirth. We offer labor and birth care in comfortable birthing suites designed to feel more personal than a hospital. Each suite includes beds, birthing stools, and spacious tubs for water birth, giving you freedom to labor at your own pace. 

We practice a blend of natural midwifery wisdom and evidence-based care. Our birth center meets all local, state, and federal health, fire, and safety regulations and holds a license from the State Department of Health. If your pregnancy requires specialized medical attention, we provide seamless access to physician care at Overlook Medical Center, under the guidance of Dr. Pemberton.

Postpartum care continues after your baby arrives, supporting your physical recovery and emotional adjustment to parenthood. We also provide in-house newborn care, including all health screenings required by New Jersey law.

We’re dedicated to building a strong, supportive community where you can connect with like-minded individuals to help you through pregnancy and early parenting.
